Embody ( A Young Adult Paranormal Romance) (Insight Series)
Review: Embody - Book #2 Insight Series - Jamie Magee -April 2011
In Book #2 Embody where read as Willow is trying to come to terms with who she is and her family origins and trying to get a hang of her gift, the past year for Willow was tough with the discovering of who she is and then the whole ordeal with Drake and then the love of her life Landon getting hurt. Now with Drake disappearing, Willow and Landon are in hiding as they learn to control their gifts of spirtual mind control- the gift of talking to each other through their minds. You know how when you are children, you are always asked what kind of superpower you want ? One of mine was telepathy , being a bit like a Sookie Stackhouse :) from True Blood.
“There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speakmore eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief…and unspeakable love.” ~ Washington Irving.
As the novel continues we read as Willow and Landen learn more about themselves and each other – including deep-seated powers they never knew they had – Willow and Landen continue to strengthen their spiritual bond in the face of one unforeseen challenge after another. While it remains to be seen whether or not their union will endure, one thing is for certain: nothing can trump the undying love and devotion they feel for one another, even as they find themselves worlds – and bodies – apart. It does seem a recurring theme in the Insight Series at the moment, that no matter what is chucked towards Willow and Landen's way, they have always managed to stay together and their love for each other is strong.
As always, Im looking forward to the next installment of the Insight Series that Jamie Magee brings to the world of teen/ YA fiction.
